2nd post of tonight
Well, i cant help but to post again. The previous one was done at the start of my dinner. Now that I had finished my food and tot over many things, I felt I need to blog again.
These months... many things haf happened... and some recent things too. And now that most of my swedish corridor mates left to their hometown for xmas and that I will be leaving them for good, I feel abit sad though I am dying to go home.
I am still having running nose. And when I tot over some recent incidents these days, I cried abit. And when I went to the quiet pantry and beautifully decorated lounge, my eyes teared again.... cos it reminded me that I will be leaving this place for good. And when I was reading my frens' blogs, esp my dear sixoneders, and how they are looking forward to meet up with me on 6th, I cried again. So basically my running nose will not stop , at least for now, judging from this situation. I become super teary and emotional these days. Also, juz the day when i got back from paris and became horrified at the tots of uncompleted work, I felt so tense and helpless that I teared and almost went crazy, and wishing for someone to help me but only walls of my room echoed my voice. I knew I had to brace myself to stand strong and face all these crap myself.
ganbatte!!
Last few days in Lund~
Moi got back from paris on 27th afternoon n i know it is piaing time again to wrap up last bits of work n packing. sob~
Cw is really fast at posting his photos sia.... nvm, I will show mine when i get back to sg hehe~~
well, I tot madrid, barcelona, paris are slightly warmer compared to lund since they are below lund... Hell wrong i was. Paris was worst. I was in madrid for 2 days and got to stay in a beautifully furnised hostel as our original one was taken up. So we heng, nice hostel nearby and given us with same price. Very nice beds and cabinets and there's Tv!! though I duno wat the people inside are blabbering about but still, I like to watch shows. Then come barcelona and fulfiled my goal of seeing barcelona pavilion with own eyes, n feeling the stones with my own hands... There's a little rooom selling books, souvenirs n items designed by designers and I yearned to buy one but the price is too steep.... oh oh and I see several Gaudi's building around the city. Awww gaudi~~~~ And not to mention how much we had spent on souvenirs and zara stuff since shopping in madrid... I only got 2 zara items la.... not that much i hope.... The hostel we had in Barcelona is like a cold cell.... Super cold! I suspect that the walls and floors did not have insulation inside, juz plain concrete plaster wall.... and another horrible thing. The water for the sinks have no heaters. Imagine everytime brushing ur teeth and washing face every morning with iced cold water that is equivalent to those from ur fridge. Together with cold weather, this is severely bad for teeth, health and face. In the end, I fell sick on the last day in Barcelona. I got sorethroat (too dry) and then flu all the way to Paris.
Paris's weather was hell more colder... omg.... but luckily our hostel is super nice and warm with carpet floors. yay~~ But once outside, ur fingers froze and turned numb. And we were pretty down on luck cos everywhere turned foggy! News reported about the fog in paris while we were there... and so our climbs at eiffel tower, Grand Ache etc was abit not worth cos we didnt get any good views and of cos no good photos.... But still, we were cheery during the trip. And yep, I get to see Villa Savoye on the last day at Paris! Yes, another goal fulfiled. However, it was closed from 25th to 31st dec so I only get to look at it's exterior.... so no good photos on savoye from me... sob~
Throughout this trip, we have been 'blowing smoke' from our mouth and nose. It was that cold. I always wanna have this experience but it comes with high price - tolerating the cold. So when I am back to lund, i think lund isnt that cold anymore.
This 11-day trip has been very enjoyable with good accompany and nice travelling pace. Thanks to all my frens involved :) Not exhausting at all, honestly. U all haf added life and laughter throughout the journey. Great experience! It's the post-trip work n packing that is headache.
Well, will be back in sg on 31st dec morning. And pls watch on for my photos!! ^^

Sudden Outburst of Emotions/Feelings?
Tell me ppl, wat should i do or react. I beginning to fear wat is install for me after i return to Sg.
When a guy talked to you how fast time flies and I have been in Sweden for 4 mths, and suddenly he said "I missed you." What shld i do?
Apparantly I know from the start that he made his stand and aim clear that he is interested in me to me, but when this suddenly comes out, I had goosebumps. I tot I can live away acting blur blur like nothing during msning etc but when he typed that 3 words, what shld i do. In the end, I replied "wa".
I know it sux but I cannot say anything else. You know it is hard for me to hurt a nice person. I really cant bring myself to. All the time I do is hint hint and escape or avoid. But I think this case how to? erm... will he be the persistent one? omg. what shld i do. When I am overseas, I have all the excuse to be busy, away and impossible to be reached physically. Back in sg, i cant do that anymore.
I really treat him as a nice person or fren. Any experts to give me advice?
In the end he change topic to something else.... but i beginning to fear...

Design Submission
I juz had my submission on Monday noon.... whew, and tomorrow wed is my presentation day. And I am the first to present out of the whole class... a wonderful start i hope~
And today I had mad rush for printing of my plans.... they wanted 1:100 scale for our plans, elevations and sections BUT their printing serivce sux BIG TIME. From today, I realised that I will appreciate NUS Archi dept printing service. NUS got scalebar that functions overnight at busy periods, cheaper A1 printing.
So i went to sch today and asked this guy at ard 3:45pm. He said no printing for today becos he is leaving soon. yea, they closes at 4pm. Whole bloody sch closes at freaking early 4pm.
watever la, now i have numerous A3 to paste together. Wth.... Anyway, I am still keeping calm. Haha~~ ok cya~

Back from Kiruna!!
Well Kiruna is the northmost city in Sweden, close to the Arctic region. Yep~ thick snow everywhere! And of cos freezing cold out there. Going to give a quick description of wat we did there. I will leave the photos aside until i collect them from everyone else. Anyway, my design submission is next Monday so I am in fact rushing work at this period of time. haiz~
7 singaporeans, 1 hongkong-ian and 1 china-living-in-france gal set off for this trip on the evening (abt 4:30pm) of 28th Nov. After about 24 hours of train ride, we finally reach Kiruna on 29th Nov afternoon abt 3pm~ Had nice cosy rooms and we played poker cards til midnight. Next day 30th is the start of the tour package we paid for. This beard guy came and fetched us to his 'base' where we put our big bagpacks on his car and only to bring our basic necessities along, ie, toiletries. Den we witness how the dogs were dragged out from their 'prison boxes' to be tied up to the dog sledge. They were barking like crazy cos overexcited with freedom and ready to run anytime. We were split into 2 groups so that we can take turns to ride on the dog sledge and snow mobile. Ppl with driving license tried driving the mobile.
After travelling 10km and rowing a boat across a river, we reached this campsite in the wild. One of our first few tasks was to collect water from the river. Dragging 3 filled water containers back up to the camp was tedious.... And we also had to chop and saw wood for fireplace, bbq pit and sauna room. It is really like monk life that we read about from the chinese stories and poems.... ~_~
Lunch we had reindeer meat and pasta.... haiz poor reindeer...the meat tasted like normal meat with a goaty smell. The rest of the afternoon was spent on more choping and sawing wood. Later we went to the river as the sky cleared to see if we can catch some northern lights. However the moon was too bright and we can only spot faint appearance of green rays from time to time. If one looked closely, tiny shooting stars were everywhere in the sky, happening randomly. It's really pretty, and would be much clearer if the moon was dimmer on that day.... After that we had bbq at the bbq hut. A Belgium couple was with us for this tour and we sort of chat abit during the bbq session. After that, they went for the sauna. Followed by the gals. It was my first time having sauna and was totally stunned at the hot steaming atmosphere and almost wanted to give up this sauna session. Anyway I tolerated and it's really an experience to feel urself steaming up and sweating. The next horrible thing is to wash up. Imagine u are so darn boiling warm and had to pour the freezing cold water all over ur body. It's inevitable to let out a scream while pouring the cold water over... After the gals' turn, it was the guys'. Overall, each and everyone of us tried to come out halfway to grab some snow to put on ourselves.... this was suggested by the tourguide. For your information, the temperature at night was
-15 degree celcius.
We played poker cards again til late at night before sleeping on our beds that were placed with reindeer skin and sleeping bags each. The skin is real skin k, and the paws were still intact and you can feel the nails when u touched the paws.... eewww. Anyway the next day, we started with breakfast at 10pm den some skiing all the way to noon. It's my first time skiing too and I fell like nobody's business. I am not used to the ski boots. I got the big thick ones which I cant even walk properly in it, and I cant stand up on my own when I fell. I strained my arm muscle especially on the right as well as getting bruises on the lower back where my spine is. Yea I fell back many many times til I am sian of the sport. I think I will try again next time if I have proper gear and a coach around. After that we had lunch and packed up to go back.
Sun set at about 2-3pm so when we were out in the boat at the river, the sky was pitch black. Now we had 3 dog sledges and 1 snow mobile. On the way back, I was encouraged to drive the snow mobile. DAMN FUN! and easy. haha, I am the only one without driving license to try the mobile. :p When we got back to the city, the temperature was warmer,
-6 or -7 degree celcius.
We finally had a good bath with proper clean water..... and water to brush teeth..... Imagine we had problem rinsing mouth and cleaning toothbrushes at the campsite earlier due to lack of (river) water left in the container.... ~_~
Finally next day, 2th dec, we wanted to walk around Kiruna and wanted to visit the famous Ice Hotel. However the cab fares were steep and the place was very far. Other tourist places are darn far too, so in the end we only walked around the area to look at their church... and had a nice late lunch at a cosy cafe. For the gals, we tried several different types of cakes they had. Yum! Finally... after 4 months of cake-less days. After which, we decided to have snowball fights in the middle of a wide pedestrain street!!! Gals VS Guys!!! haha.... and you can see how gals and guys fight with different style of battle strategies.... Even one of the ice blocks standing as sculptures on the streets could be used as a home base for the gals.... Finally in the evening, we went back to the train station and set off. We transited at Stockholm, one of the earliest city in sweden that I had already visited. So only me, cw and sheng went to the shopping streets to buy gifts and souvenirs back. The rest toured abit of Stockholm. We all got back at the evening and took the train back to Lund. By the time I reached my hostel, it was abt 10:30pm. whew~
Well, I guess I enjoyed this trip the most. It is not those typical sightseeing of city, buildings, shops and people, but more of hands-on experience with many many of my first times. Be it chopping wood, or skiing in the wild, it is the rich experience that we can never get at anywhere else and so, probably this is my first and last trip to Kiruna with this tour package of camping in the wild. Nice company, nice activities, nice food. What else can I ask for?
Right, photos will have to wait.... haha. right now i need to pia my work liao!!!
