Disappearing from those photographs Leaving me absent most of the time I realised how much i had disappeared Sad, poignant But true
Disappearing from the crowds Trying to shake off unfavourable burden The pressure to succumb to other ppl's lifestyle Strong, gripping Like a vice
Things are getting on my nerves Why am i so upset each day Nothing but worries haunt me night by night Crumbling is my soul Insecurities, Uncertainty Self-worth and Respect Filled my empty lungs
last last friday me and a number of archi frens went out for Johnny's farewell dinner and drinking session. Actually on the very day, my office also had a farewell gathering for a German lady. She's such a nice person, someone I feel happy and comfortable to tok to.... and now she has to go... *sob* Anyway, for Johnny's farewell, me and elita joined them after we finished whatever we haf to with our colleagues.... so the bunch of them had their dinner at Brewerks already and headed to Clarke Quay. We managed to get 2 of our colleagues to come along too! we spent quite some time choosing and finding a place in a lounge/bar.... i think we settled at Candy bar in the end, with good music!! suitable for dancing hehe. but no, we didnt dance at such a drinking place. We chatted damn long and took alot of photos. By the time i reached home, it's 5 am.... Hence i was too shag to meet other frens the next day.
This week's thurs the sixoneders had a farewell dinner at Bukit Timah for Jovie, who has now left Singapore and arrived happily in Japan for her Masters studies in Business. So envious!! We took a photo at the dinner place, and i will post that on my class blog instead of here la~ After that we went to KAP via Weimin's sch bus (all of us squeeze in his car k!) and continued chatting. But me and Yock went home earlier as I was super tired after doing some craft work on a pendant for Jovie the night before til 4am. My first time doing wire-art which is fitted in such a tiny little book pendant. And then I painted some floral design with gold. I had to use my 20/0 tiny tiny precious brush of mine which I bought in Atlanta College of Fine Arts, but made in Japan. ooo that was super long ago la! but the brush is very new and good as ever ( i seldom use it unless i need to). Bao Bei! hehe... Anyway, here are some photos of the pendant....
For the inside, left side i made some floral patterns and a little alphabet 'J' with wires, and on the other side is painted. so one is 2d, one is 3d..... hehe
So on Sunday, a few of the sixoneders went to airport to send Jovie off.... the place brought back memories and aroused poignant feelings as well as other sort of feelings. Around this time last year I would already be in Sweden... awwww i wanna go travel overseas again!! >.< Everyone is moving on with different paths they choose but I believe when we get back together, time between us will stop and reverse to who we are as defined by one another. We will not be lost whenever we are together :) Cheers to our friendship!! Back to current situation, I think I am struggling to cope with my every-days. There are alot of little things here and there triggering me to feel sad.... Everyday has to end with a slight tinge of sadness. My heart is bleeding bit by bit.... I wonder if my tears will run dry and my heart will stop beating due to the sour pain and sadness. What I can do now is to keep accepting fate, changing my mindset and praying for the rainbow and sun to come out soon.
Right, this little mousey (me) had been stuck in office for this week... and it hasnt been a good week. Feelings/emotions plunged to mid bottom.
Last saturday went to watch Ratatouille with some of my sixoneders. At the end of the show, the food critic said things that are so meaningful and touching that i almost wanna drop a tear. but i didnt la, would look silly.
Somehow during mid-week, many many frustrations accumulated and my mood juz swing to negative... I concluded that i am a person who has full of fear and insecurities, or feeling insecure. Many many things. And when finally they are all triggered and accumulated, this is wat happened. I will look so so down and sad, very quiet, with a tinge of frustration and anger written on the face. But i had been controlling myself.... seriously i really need something to stablise my emotions or subside my insecurities.... --------------------------------- I really hate superficial ppl... in the aspect of ppl's appearance. (oh this is so random here, well nvm) --------------------------------- Sometimes when u juz make one mistake, some ppl will never forgive u or discredit u in a way. And in future, no matter how much u do, they will never give credits to u n u can never redeem urself. --------------------------------- During that midweek, i felt like running away.... i cant bear the sight of "it". I cant work properly when every minute things are running across my head and me trying to fight back against tears.
Yesterday (fri), we worked late and finally someone suggested having a late late dinner together at some Korean restaurant at tanjong pagar area. Very exp, food is good but not enuff. ok...later we went to this very high class looking boutique bar and had 2 types of red wine.... and we started toking abt childhood memories and things. I was almost 98% silent all the time. I am amazed at the rest how much they remember of their young days. I realised that due to my sad experiences, I had been relating the past to these experiences so much so that I can no longer remember the other happy little details I had... those sad memories had etched so deeply in me that I can only remember them first. I had been such a sad kid and since now I had grown out of it, I never want to look back or turn back to the past. So they are archived. Now they are almost faded away and rusty, and so the conservation was nothing but painful to me. The rest of the night and today was affected by this mood... and set me to start to think abt some things again. I shouldnt have join them at the bar. Why must they remind me of the past that I wish to throw away. I dun wan to be sad the whole week.

Julie's fav show:
I ain''t someone who will go outside and scream for their idols. I never have one that I really considered as my idol. But I juz give them moral support from behind the TV screen. So... *erhem* if i scream and yell for them, only my family knows... hehe =p
LUCIFY!!!!!!!! U rocks!!!!! yea manz, i love this band after watching Superband. Catch this show on Monday at Channel U, 8pm! I am pretty glad that some jap geeks really appear in this show. I thought no one will dare to do such stuff in a Singapore show... u know, guys putting on make-ups but hey at least they dun cross-dress like the hot japrock band Malice Mizer. But at least it tells us that we have teenagers here who are really being daring, bold and showcasing what freedom means for them.
Lucify may not have the best lead singer, compared to Brods and J3 but the atmosphere and rock capabilities and spirit of a band is there~ U really wanna rock with them. Support them!!! hhaha~
So people, if you are bored and sian after work on a blue Monday, catch this Superband and give urself a rock and feel high, even if it's juz one-hour. You won't regret what these bands have brought for us - quality music and high-time. Check it out, peepz~! Come on, join me :)

The NUS Architecture Graduation Exhibition- "How does your garden grow?"
I am grateful and honoured that my Thesis Project is selected for this exhibition. Honestly speaking, the process had went through multiple changes, and many horrible late nights, stayovers in the computer studios, having Macs for almost every day towards submission period... Much worse is the physical tiredness, mental tireness and depression and all.... Every bit of progress is difficult, full of obstacles and never a smooth path. I won't be able to pull through without encouragement and help from friends and family. Thank you so much!
Opening Day
Date: Saturday, 13 Jun '09

My Exhibition Installation @ NUS Museum, UCC - from 7 March to 7 May "Site, Spectator, Situation"
This exhibition project is collaborated among NUS Dept. of Architecture, University Scholar Programme(USP) and NUS Museum for my USP Final Year Project. The opening ceremony and presentation on 6 March was a success! Thanks to Noora (NUS Museum), Lilian Chee (Supervisor from Archi) and the departments for their support and those who turn up and those who visited my installation! :)
My installation is a collage of maps collected during my travels. It is a "Mind" map that existed in my mind based on experiences and memories of places. Hence, it's a cognitive map that is subjective to everyone. Hopefully, this installation will be placed somewhere else later and I'll inform you if it happens. If you drop by UCC, feel free to take a look!
3 other students' works are at NUS Arts Canteen, Kampong Glam and lastly in Museum (level 1).
