Exercise
well... i think i better start exercising before things get worse.....
I used to think that I am not pretty, no big eyes, no sharp nose, no juicy lips, not sexy, no small feet to fit shoes easily, height wise too tall to be cute and childish and many others. But the thing i thought i only have and was proud of was my long slim legs. i aint boasting or watsoever, anyway that was my only good assets k, so just give it to me la. anyway, tht was about to be a past.... recently, not only i feel that i developed a bigger tummy and flabbier arms, i am getting flabbier calves.... the whole thing is killing me. Wat is happening. I concluded i cannot live with working life. I hate this. But everyone has to work. So now i think wat i have to do is to change my living habits. i need to ADAPT to it. I SERIOUSLY have to exercise now. i used to think i can remain looking ok without exercising. all of these are not true now. Many ppl are telling that by the time we get to this age, things are changing and we cannot get away with some things without putting effort.
ok, i think i am going past my prime already. So now i better take better care of myself. maybe this horrible change is my main motivation for exercising. but really, i wish i have motivation from frens too >.< pls pls pls help me..................

A Touching Sight
A Touching Sight.....
I was walking along this pavement while going to office in the morning.
It had been raining heavily yesterday night but roads are dry by the morning.
I happened to walk behind this old man with his walking stick.
Suddenly, he was walking to the edge of the pavement. My eyes followed his direction...
There is puddle of water along the edge of the road beside the pavement curb.
In a gentle swift movement, he used his stick and dragged away a plastic bag at the puddle of water.
Suddenly, the intention was so clear. That plastic bag must have covered up the drainage and prevented water from draining from the road. This would be nasty if left for days. Mosquitoes could breed.
I was impressed by the man, and at the same time thankful. Cos seldom people noticed this sort of details... and he carries the responsibility of maintaining hygiene of the place. Good citizen indeed.
Salute.

Ear piercing
I took leave today. Bo bian, need to rush my proposal to let my usp-archi supervisor to see it this afternoon. In sch i met several frens... rather nice feeling though. I miss sch days now.
After the meeting, I went home for a while before going back to NUS Museum at 6:30pm to attend the opening of Alvar Aalto exhibition with my colleagues. Reception is pretty good. And ard 8pm, many of us left. I actually arranged to meet up with ailing to pierce our ears at SK in Jurong Point. I already wanted to pierce for a looooooooooong time. Now finally I can get my little wish fulfilled. it's one of my little childhood wants.... now i am looking for earring that looks like a ring cuff but small small one. It is the type that kinda wrap ard the edge of ear. yea the type i see in manga. and i want it so much!
ooo me and ailing shared the piercing fees and we got ourselves one pair of earrings and shared them. nice small diamondsy stud that is, for each of us. :P happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now she has to look for her permanent pair of earrings while i look for my cuffy type of earrings. hehe~~~ now after such a tired weekend, i feel happy enuff to start working tomolo though the feeling still abit sucky~ :( accomplished new artwork, my proposal has a positive approval since the previous 2 rejected ones, and getting my right ear pierced finally. This is a meaningful weekend. ^^

Carvivor + my artwork
Geez, this weekend is burnt out.
Anyway last sunday I participated Carvivor Rally (org by Power 98 fm) with sixoneders. Mei and her bf in other team while me, yock, wm and yk in another. Though none of us win anything we had some fun la. We were pretty disapointed by the water games. My conclusion as well as others' is that there is no "site response". This is a term familiar to archi students. ok ok i should change to "site engagement". That is, the games are not closely tight to the site. For example, why make us go all the way to pasir ris to play shooting water at tracing paper to make it break in the middle of some grass patch. If we have to do some games at the water themepark there or somewhere inside, it will make more sense!! grrr.... so basically i took a little nap in wm's schbus during the long rides. hahaha~~~ thanks for the chocs and mei's sandwiches!! Here's photos.... sadly, we didnt take photos at different sites (west coast park, pasir ris, chua chu kang sports complex, sentosa sky tower, sim min viacom).... *sheepish grin*

This weekend was burnt out becos previously i was rushing a box and followed by doing up a manga artwork (you can see it at my main page of my blog). I juz started colouring on sat afternoon and all the way to the sun morning 7am. Yea... now have to start on my usp work. meeting my tutor tml noon!!!! SHUCKS. i am dead. ok ok that's all folks. Give me comments on my artwork though. My artwork's theme is about our new era of urban culture... I tot of this theme after some days. It is about how this generation is starting on a new age of playing elements and juxtaposition of ideas and this 'collage-feel' has spread itself to many areas, not juz arts and media, but also in terms of architecture, fashion, city planning, ideologies, visuals and music. I find that kinda order among chaos is a very interesting concept behind it as it encourages creativity, imagination and thus we should celebrate this freedom.
The character wears clothings with a mix of chinese chongsam, hiphop, western accessories and jap shoes. There is a mix of reality and imagery. Graphics and photography is used in this artwork too. So that's the mix media for you :)

The NUS Architecture Graduation Exhibition- "How does your garden grow?"
I am grateful and honoured that my Thesis Project is selected for this exhibition. Honestly speaking, the process had went through multiple changes, and many horrible late nights, stayovers in the computer studios, having Macs for almost every day towards submission period... Much worse is the physical tiredness, mental tireness and depression and all.... Every bit of progress is difficult, full of obstacles and never a smooth path. I won't be able to pull through without encouragement and help from friends and family. Thank you so much!
Opening Day
Date: Saturday, 13 Jun '09
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: Iluma Urban Entertainment Centre
201 Victoria Street Singapore 188067, Level 7 (@Sky garden for the opening ceremony)

My Exhibition Installation @ NUS Museum, UCC - from 7 March to 7 May "Site, Spectator, Situation"
This exhibition project is collaborated among NUS Dept. of Architecture, University Scholar Programme(USP) and NUS Museum for my USP Final Year Project. The opening ceremony and presentation on 6 March was a success! Thanks to Noora (NUS Museum), Lilian Chee (Supervisor from Archi) and the departments for their support and those who turn up and those who visited my installation! :)
My installation is a collage of maps collected during my travels. It is a "Mind" map that existed in my mind based on experiences and memories of places. Hence, it's a cognitive map that is subjective to everyone. Hopefully, this installation will be placed somewhere else later and I'll inform you if it happens. If you drop by UCC, feel free to take a look!
3 other students' works are at NUS Arts Canteen, Kampong Glam and lastly in Museum (level 1).

Kaleidoscope 2007 Exhibition 27-28th Oct 2007
@ Suntec-MY. PLAYGr0und
It was kinda rush as I only had a sunday to colour up the whole thing. Thanks to my anime friend who encouraged me all the way as I felt like giving up halfway several times then. There are other students and studios participating in this exhibition, such as Imaginary Friends Studios (IFS). Many wonderful artworks. Hopefully more NUS ppl take part!!
