Away from Gaming
Yes, finally my thirst to play Conquer has died down already... so yes, i haf life now. I have been watching animes... hmm it proves to me that animes have bigger attraction to me than gaming... cool~ at least from animes i get to learn some stuff and get good laffs and get human emotions runnning in me after all the mindless killing and mining in the game.
Yesterday i found out that i am still not totally recovered from my jitty-ness. Maybe becos I dun like to plan things and turn out that none are accomplished. Well, yesterday went back to sch to collect my long awaited 50 bucks from office again. Third time. And waited for almost 45 min... I was getting impatient cos i need to go to comp centres etc to settle my laptop that needs some formatting... it gets way too slow. Then in the end, the lady with the money hadnt return to office so I gave up and went to MPSH where my IBM service centre is, very worried that the office will be closed for the day soon. When I reached there, the person said it moved to the central forum already. So I had to travel all the way back there. Wah lao, feeling rather irritated. Then I met an archi staff on the NUS shuttle bus, and told her abt the money thing and she told me to follow her back office, and there that lady I looking for was there. So at least I settled one thing... and later at the central forum IBM centre, I learnt from the Ibm guy how to format cos my recovery function is inbuilt in my lappy. ok.... things pretty ok
I returned home and started watching the rest of naruto and KareshiKanojo No Jijou aka Nan2 Nu3 Qiao1 Qiao1 Ban3. And continued until this early afternoon. Here comes the interesting part. I got this fren's call at abt 2:15pm and asked if i interested to do some model making for this architect company... kinda low profile one i think... And my goodness, I haf to dig out all my photos and put in laptop, stop my anime watching, and dress up and etc.... wat a mess and rushed a taxi down to town.
The office as expected looks cool and fashionable and pro... I waited for less than half an hour to get interviewed by this boss.... I haf nothing much to show... it is impossible for me to carry all my models to this office wat.... so i only brought digital photos... so we tokked very little and by 5-10 mins, the interview ended... haiz.... dunno if i haf the chance to get employed... really let heaven to decide for me. This is the first time that I rush for interview. Very last minute lor... tsk.
All right back at home now, blogging and chatting... yea man, I have more life now.

5. Oh, took a night scene again of this fullerton hotel with skyscrapers as the backgrd...In fact, all of these buildings are the main subjects here. Pretty nice huh.

4. Suqi took the 4 of us along the riverside at Esplanade... yea, these are my 'sons'. They still address me as Mother...

3. Ahuh! gotcha. Our president's big head... lol

2. tsk tsk, this shengyong taking shots of everyone... with his new camera i think...

1. THe six of us at Han's. From left, shengyong, jiaming, suqi, me, shaocong and weiliang.
CO comm outing
Yesterday had outing with my JC's chinese orchestra comm ppl. We haf not met one another for abt 2 years already. Time really flies. But then only 6 of us could come... wl, sc, sy,suqi,jm and me.
Haha they are still so funny and boyish after these 2 years.... gals never change much too... haha~~ back to old days. well, as usual, these guys are very po po ma ma.... and could not make a quick decision as to where to eat. we wandered around the new half-renovated Marina Sq. for quite a long time... before we settled down on Han's. The food there is cheaper and so is the quality of outlook. It is like food court with everything catered. But overall, the food is still quite ok and edible lol.
We chatted there for some time and keep taking candid shots.... weiliang scared of camera so all the more shenyong tried ways to take photos of him without him noticing. lol.
Later we left the place for esplanade and jm left early. We walked there and along the river side there.... very windy and cooling. Actually that whole walkway is quite nice... and romantic lol!
Actually couples or groups of friends all sat ard there, and chat and do watever thing they wanna do... i even saw this homo couple... lol.... nvm.
We chatted quite long there... until 10 plus or 11, and headed home. well, dunno when we will meet up again. so far everyone doing fine and the guys waiting to go into uni. well, best of luck to them!

A little dinner outing
yup, came out for this gathering in holland V with archi ppl~ got kx, jx, xuhui, cheewee, engkiat, wenjun, johnny and his gf,rach and kaili. haha xuhui cut her long hair off to donate to the duno wat charity thing to make wigs for patients. she looks nice in her short hair too~ no more sadako to scare us... lol
We had dinner at thaixpress.... and it is my first time trying laksa, which is much like curry to us. ok.... damn heaty.... chit chat and all, rather enjoyable~~ they were planning to go clubbing/dancing in LiquidRoom... at first they wanted Zouk. well, not really wan to be a wet blanket but really no mood for it lar... haha not really my kind of place, honestly.
so while the rest when clubbing, a few of us set off to own destination. for me, home. haha... happy happy.... HV is near my house. so it is one of the rare outings that i return home so early... abt 10 plus. lol
so came back and chatted with some frens... but not with the JC ones... all of them either away, busy or offline... :( heehee, anyway, one fren chat with me till 3 pluz am... ahaha poor thing... sorry!! hey dude, really happy that u hear me out and other stuff~ ^^thanks!
PS: I used the perfume that archi frens gave me for present this year. This time after I bathed, the smell is still on me!!! Wah, so power....

Dreams... of reality?
I apologise for tokking abt dreams again... but i really wanna say it again... Last night another funny one... and i tell u, it feels as real as it can be, more real than previous times. Quite horrifying.... lol. Nah, not nightmares lar. Real in the sense that, for example, when someone holds ur hand, u can really feel the warmth and the strength. It is not even an imagination. It is that real. As though it is happening in real life. Or it is as though I am teleported to a time in the future and experience every single moment myself.
Sometimes i wish some dreams will not happen, but some i wish they will happen some day, but they may never will... *sigh*

4. The sepia version. Oh come on guys, make ur pick! lol

3. the B&W version

2. The future rich tai-tais of our class~~

1. mei, yk and sel on my table. we gals take the food. guys cook most of the time. heehee.
A dinner outing on tues night~~
heehee, finally ed and yk has returned and mei still got a mth or so b4 she leaves singapore for New zealand, is it new zealand? shld be, unless i remember wrongly. Anyway we haf a dinner outing. Hmm i think gab went off early. By the time i reached on time 6:30pm at cine, gab was not there. Mei, me, sel, ed,xh and yk went to Yuki yaki watever name is that, to haf japanese sushi cum steamboat buffet... hmm the food's not bad, really. Me, mei, yk and sel ate appropriate amt of food, no wastage. Very good. Wk and Wm came late and joined ed and xh on the other table. They were trying to gobbled down the last huge amt of food... poor things.
After dinner, Yock joined us and we all went to this starbucks in Paragon to chitchat. Aa usual, laff and tok.... can really sit there for the whole day if the shop dont haf to close down for the day. We had a major present-givings event. I started it by giving some stuff i bought for the guys and gals. Each of them has this cute little mahjong furry tile handphone chain. The gals oso each has this hp pouch bought from malacca's shop. Got mei extra present -bracelet and wish her bon voyage. As for the guys, i got some army badges stuff... which apparantly very funny and fei4. lol, but made alot of jokes from them. anyway, next was Ed's turn. But the thing is, he only brought presents for some of us. so me, xh and sel dun haf. lol
Mei and yock each has a fan from Spain while wk and yk got London's toffee candies in metal coin tins. We began the practice of opening the fans... the gals were having fun with the fans of cos. See the photos!
A great day, ahh~~ back to the norm days again~~ that sense of familiarity.

Another dream
Today i woke up at 9 plus am. I slept late last night and tot I would wake up much later today but it seemed otherwise... all becos of a dream... again.
I dreamt of me and some friends in a particular programme or wat, related to outdoor stuff. Many things happening but i remembered one of the time, aka the last one. It was about me and some friends ended up gnawing at stems of plants and den later very tired and overslept in our camps. I woke up in horror late at night to find myself missed Mei's dinner outing. I was so upset. Then when I woke up, I realised it was early in the morning today. Lol.....
hmm y all the dreams nowadays giving me stress..... now I cannot even sleep properly.... panda eyes soon.... right, better complete some anime club stuff before going out to meet my JC frens :)
Dreams? Or nightmares....
haha recently MIA-ing.... ok i admit i am in a very disorientated mind... not very used to things ard the house... haha maybe my mind not very settled after the return from UM trip. anyway.... I oso admit endulging myself in gaming and etc. i am slowly 'awake' now...
These few days i haf dreams.... that related to work stuff... am i still not recovered from the ordeal i faced in UM trip or is it the stress that is in me all this while. 3 days ago i haf this dream. It is about me designing some art education cum gallery place. the place is pretty big, juz like the size of 2 shophouses combined... exactly wat given to me in UM trip. except that the design site is in a nice city area. The amazing part is i did dreamt of me designing clearly how the rooms and orientation are, and worse of all, even dreamt of some tutor or someone crit my design and giving me ideas to improve by adding rooms here and there and reasons why here and there not good. My goodness! And they really make sense. This dream is so.... so real.... *sweat*
The 2nd one occurred yesterday night.... I dreamt of being in this class.... with some JC and pri sch friends present together. And the situation happened in a results-giving day. I think the results I got are average.... and den got this fren of mine (a guy but cannot remember who) very angry and upset (in tears) becos he didnt get straight A's. What the... and that means he cannot get dunno wat S-paper.... wah kao, he no S paper, den me leh? worse?
All these.... wat have they meant.... all these dreams seemed to reflect my unconscious mind that is still under some kind of stress or the like... or reflecting that I have not let go some of the regrets of my academic life....
So many things to settle.... affecting my work efficiency, esp in anime club stuff... really muz apologise to my president. :) Meanwhile hope things will turn out better.
Now i am more awake, the presence of worries knock on my head again. Maybe it explains y i prefer to escape into the game....

this is lav and her durian cake!

on 12th, we went to lav bdae party. wah many ppl started to bbq when i reached there.

finally a picture of the archi faculty in UM. this is the entrace to the faculty. elita and lav in the photo~~

this is the 2nd project: measured drawings. haha i only did the section drawing.

this is the Urban design project i did with other 7 members.

ok, my panels and the site models..... some models belong to other grp.

weiqian oso wan to make fun of them too. so i purposely do the opposite. haha see my big eyes!

Minghui (UM) trying to make fun of my small inverse-U shaped eyes when i smile....

from left:me, weiqian (UM) and xuhui. behind are our 9 design panels.
UM last day and back to singapore~
haha so long never post here cos been busy once i got back home. Alot of things to unpack and settle down. For some time, I am not very used to my home and hence abit slow ard the house, haha.... cant believe it's that exaggerated.
hmm havent post the last day of UM trip yet....aka the exhibition day. yep, i'm going to post some photos after this blog. the exhibition day nothing much to say except the coach bus ride home... it is very cock up to the very moment we left malaysia lor. We were at this counter to stamp on our passports. Then the person say we were late by 1 day. we shld leave on 10th and not 11th. so they dun wan to let us pass thru without any official letter from the tutors or whoever. So in the end lav used her UM certificate (we each got a cert during the end of ceremony aka exhibition day) to verify ourselves. In the end the person agreed to let us pass thru and told us not to do that next time. I cant believe our cert become the PASSPORT home! actually we got call up the visa person who told us as long as before midnight of 11th, it is still valid.... hmm, so i think the office staff are all not consistent in their rules etc. so cock up.
Finally back at home, haha everything still the same except they kept my table clean and my stuff all packed up. now in singapore, prices cannot be divided by 2 liao. haha..... I gave my family members the present I bought for them, heehee, seems they quite like them.
On 12th, we went to Lav's 21st bdae party/chalet at aloha. nice bbq food~ heehee. Then the trip back home was so 'exciting'. Elita drove me, ailing, xuhui and yuetyee back to tamp mrt. When we juz reached the mrt control station, the speaker announced that the last train to boon lay had departed. So we ran quickly to interchange to take 65. den we stopped at orchard area and ran to several bus stops to find night buses which in the end found out that they were not available on sundays. so we finally ran to this bus stop and caught bus 105 to clementi... lol, got blisters on my feet... running on heels wor....
oh, on monday i went jogging! hehe! i kept the promise to myself and I did it! I went to jog in NUS with xuhui, ailing and zhengmei~ so glad that i worked off some fats, i hope. but then now i ate quite alot of snacks.... argh. been playing Conquer too~ ahh~~ wat a relaxing moment.... now its afternoon and the sun is bright yet the wind is cold.... hmmm so weird. anyway, enjoy the photos!

2nd post for today
yep as the title says it~~ I will collect more photos and post here. Finally get to read blogs and saw ed will the quiz thing, so I oso try for fun~~
Your Seduction Style: The Natural |

You don't really try to seduce people... it just seems to happen. Fun loving and free spirited, you bring out the inner child in people. You are spontaneous, sincere, and unpretentious - a hard combo to find! People drop their guard around you, and find themselves falling fast. |
ok, i muz go back to do work again! Cya~~

ok finally at the end of the day, some of us and Um students went to play with the paddle boat thing. I didnt join in... haha too tired la.

This is the garden beneath the hole.Very nice hor. From left: Carina (yes it is 'C'), brenda and me~

in this particular building, when i looked up, it is a circular hole where light comes in and highlight the garden below. Nice.

opposite the court got this big steel gateway...very very high. tsk tsk scary and wat an extravagant way to waste money...

this is the High (highest) court of Justice... wah.. the building is damn long and huge. see the ppl inside? that is the scale. I had to cross dunno how many lanes of road to get this photo....

went to some building... i think is Putrajaya Holdings where there are this sculptures ard and nice for us to pose for phototaking haha. Spot me inside?i am at the last row!

haha i stood in the middle of that big long stretch of road. many tourists oso did that. so one cares abt cars there....

some of us jumping on air! i am inside, see me?

ooo, all the UM students posing in front of the dunno wat government office (near the national mosque). haha the office oso got so many onion domes.... so much like a mosque

Some of the gals in Jedi uniform! haha only 2 of us got hoods.....

there is this bridge nearby... it is designed by that Hijjas Katsuri i mentioned. It looks like Santiago Calatrava's style! hmm.....

the mosque is actually by the sea.... so nice hor....

this is the Putrajaya Mosque (national mosque). Many of us feel that it is an alien in Malaysia cos it is not a Malaysian style... more like arabic.
UM Day 20-29 - 30th May to 8th June- Return from HELL
Finally after my project submission then I haf the time to write…. I didn’t know almost 10 days have passed. 7 out of these 10 days, I was living in absolute hell….will soon tell u abt it. The hell of this design project…. Within these days, 2 of them are Site Visit Days, where the UM students brought us to places in Malaysia to do site seeing. One is on 2nd June and the other is on 4th June. Submission was on 7th yar. But I enjoyed the the second sightseeing trip.
Before I touched upon the sightseeing trips, I begin on my
project story first…. I admit that I could not handle stress very well and embarrassed myself by breaking down in studio. Not as if I wanted to be a crybaby or wat but I really bottled up all the disappointment, anger, frustration etc etc etc in myself, and I did told some of my frens lar, until in the end the accumulation of ‘gek sim’ (Hokkien: heart pain) made that bubble burst. I couldn’t take it anymore.
For this project, each team has 4 members- 2 from NUS and 2 from UM. However for my group, we only haf 3 people cos one of the UM students is always missing or never come to work, only once in a blue moon we saw him playing music and watching animes on his pc. CRAP. He is notorious among his own UM studiomates and his tutors. Everyone knows that he always never take part in teamwork. I did try to ask him help abit here and there but most of the time it is very hard to explain everything to him as many discussions had gone before. Hard to let him ‘see’ the design nor explain to him how to do this and that. In the end, isn’t it better or easier to do myself? And another thing is we lack of equipment cos Xuhui, the other NUS in my grp did not haf laptop. She had asked to borrow one from NUS before she came but the office or whatever screwed up lar. So in the end, I do not know wat and how to assign work for her. As for the only UM guy in my grp, he is busy with other work, cos he need to prepare some multimedia presentation for the last day of this programme and he was pretty slacky since this programme is only Pass/Fail thing for the UM side. On Sunday 5 June that I realised he didn’t even know the submission is on 7 and not 9 June!
EVERYTHING SO COCK UP! And so becos it is a NO-CHOICE thing that I haf to handle almost everything cos hard to explain to others etc, and yet u desperately need help cos lack of manpower and equipment, it drove me nuts. They said I hold on to everything too much, ok so in the end I gave them the cadding (3d model) to do etc. In the end on 6th June morning, I received horrible work… Horrible in the sense that as I expected, they cannot see my design ideas from plans alone. So u see, not that I want to hold on to everything but just that it is a NO CHOICE thing. In the end I broke down twice. 5 and 6 June…. Horrible horrible. Now I looked back, I seriously think I shld die die oso control myself but I know at those moments, if I dun let out, I may die…. I felt that 10 years of my life has gone and my heart is further weakened.I haven’t recover from my sem2’s design, now another design madness is given to me…. And this is SO MUCH WORSE lor. Ok…. Think I shall stop here.
Ok, on happier stuff: the
sightseeing trips… wah cant remember much liao. Haha.. For the 2 June one, we went to this architect’s firm/office. He is very famous in Malaysia. Name is Hijjas Kasturi. His Telecom Tower is near our hostel lor, everyday we get to see it. Haha…. Not bad lar, the design. The second trip is to Putrajaya. One of new land project in the world.. I wonder how u call that. Just that u built everything from a big piece of empty land, creating a whole new city on it. Yup, a big project. We went in there via cars of the UM students… Very far away from the UM sch lor… and the buildings in there were so huge and monstrous. The National Mosque is beautiful and I think this is only the area where most tourists are. If we go in further, we seemed to be the only grp of ppl ard… it is like a ghost or desert town… It is that isolated or quiet….
The national mosque is really cute and pinkish… as u can see in the photos…. They are pretty strict with females covered up. For tourists, the females had to wear this pink cloak if they think you are covered enuff…. U need to haf long sleeves and not low neckline. So during that hot weather, I wore my sweater… still in the end I joined in with the others to be
PINK JEDIs!! We took and others took many photos of us gals in pink jedi cloaks. Wow, I feel like I’m in cosplaying again… when everyone take photos of u as if u are some kind of big star…However I dun haf a hood behind, so EngKiat said I look like I came out of Maternity ward instead of Jedi. WAT! -_-“
Ok, that all for now… Haf to prepare for exhibition on 9 June (tml!). So I think there is still work to do…. Enjoy the photos ( I will upload some of the 2nd trip ones, the rest are with others).
PS: oh my fingers are finally recovered from the injuries from alkaline abrasions… Except there are scars left still… think it will go off after some time…
