Greetings from Sweden!!
Hey peeps, sorry for the late late update on my trip cos really taking time to settle things. Well briefly to say, I met a grp of SMU ppl on the thai airways going to Lund Uni, later which i met a grp of ppl from China going Lund as well! So nice. Btw, I added cheewee's (cw) blog in my url links, so u can go to his blog to see more photos if you want. Now I shall present to you photos of my school~ but not the faculty... juz the main building.

This is the central building where we first went to to get things signed up and so on... And also where my swedish language classes held. I think it is situated at the central area of Lund city. Beautiful, isnt it? It's like a castle from the exterior. And guess how far is this building from my hostel, Delphi? abt 2.5km. Freaking far. About 40 minutes of average (towards fast) walking to reach here.
Now opposite this AF building is a nice fountain and palaestra building (its function i am not sure).

A close-up of palaestra. I like the composition here.

I went to their International Office and Housing office juz a few metres down the beautifully tiled cobberstone street (aching my feet though). It has really beautiful garden and a bust statue at the entrance of the door.

A close up of the entrance area.

While I was sitting on those benches while the scorching sun brought warmth to the earth and cold wind that gently bit into your skin, the serenity of atmosphere was heightened with the sacred pealing of the bells in the nearby Cathedral. It was a wonderful peaceful afternoon, away from the usual city life I had in Singapore. My little dreams of such emotions for all these years have finally been realised. meanwhile I spotted a few birds hopping among the grasses. Even their 'mynahs' aka black birds with yellow beaks (i forgot the right spelling) are mch prettier than ours. Why? Well, they have nicer body proportion which made them look chubby and cute and their tails stood higher up on their little butts instead of the drooping ones that singapore's mynahs have. ok, I shall go on to my place of stay!
Delphi is one of the newest hostel besides Sparta. But after hearing stories from my nus and smu mates living there, Delphi seems neater, cleaner and more organised (esp. the rooms and pantry). Cheewee's in Spoletorp, Lingwei in Sparta while Yinghao (the sci guy) in some funny named hostel which I dunno how to spell. So the NUS students are all separated. The smu ppl specified Sparta in their form hence they get to stay together.
My hostel (block H) is secluded, among the trees and we have proper bicycle sheds and outdoor sitting areas for chatting or partying.

So my address is:
Magistratsvägen 55, H:212
226 44 Lund
Here's my room~ Sorry abt the toilet rolls :p Will chuck it in the cupboard soon~

So my feet has been aching from all the walking, esp. when I seldom wear shoes back at home then. So my feet aint used to it. The roads lacked the center line that divides the 2 way traffic hence easily mistooken for one way.... and the traffic is opposite that of Singapore's. So I have to remind myself to look left first, then right, before I cross the road... Ghees, I feel retarded. For the past three days since 19th Aug, we have been going to Malmö, the third biggest city in Sweden, next to Lund. There's this festival going on, and we went sightseeing, and also looking for cheaper 2nd hand bicycles (which is no longer cheaper after all the train and bus fares). Each bus ride is abt S$3. can u believe it? It sux. Dun mention abt the food. It's daylight robbery.
On the lighter note, well there's all sorts of dogs that Swedish ppl have, from really small ones to huge ones... Huge = when it stood on 4 legs, they are slightly higher than your waist. Too many types of dogs here that never failed to amaze me, however, there's hardly any cats around!! Only the day before yesterday, I managed to see one in the rain. Black one with drooping long tail and very masculine face profile. Aww, I wanna see pretty cats.
Too many to tell, and will upload photos on our trips at Malmö soon :)
Thanks to all who wished me bon voyage and thanks for all who have been so concerned and caring to me. I love you all. Seriously, you guys made me a fortunate person, and I'm really touched.
