Back from Germany~
yoyo! Yea, I'm back~ And hell lots of work to do, homework and laundry...
The trip was generally packed with things to see within a short time. A pity that I couldnt explore more of the
Jewish Museum (Berlin) due to rushing to catch the train back to lund. The travelling didnt turned out exactly what we have planned but still, very enriching one. Munich was fun as we went for the
Oktober fest where people gathered at this large theme park to play and drink, make merry and so on. We also visited the
Olympia Stadium as well as
Allianz Arena, and not to forget, the dancing clock at the New Town Hall that ed has told me abt. Yes, it is nothing fanstatic with juz the figures going round and round, but many people juz stood and waited for it to move and then "Ahhhhh~" in chorus when it started. How amusing.... As for Berlin, alot of architectural and serious stuff... for eg.
The Reistag by Norman Foster, memorial places such as the
Concentration Camp where the Jewish were tortured and killed.... We had a good and informative tourguide who described vividly how the terror system was like and how people were tortured in several ways. The atmosphere was gloomy then... and when we got to the part to see each cell from the outside with the photos of each occupant, and flowers were being placed on the floor, my emotion got the better of me. It's very heartaching.. and the last part, each of us were to pick up a stone from the stone pit and placed it on this white bench as an offering to the uncountable jewish victims who had no proper burial. It was another emotional peak. Before we ended off the tour, the german guide said, "As a german, I do not feel guilty of the past. But I feel we must be responsible for it. And to educate the future generation of the history so as not to let such things happen again." Agree.
I hate wars.
My IBM laptop went for a little fix as it had fan error. The monopoly computer store in town is a daylight robbery centre. Abt $66-$88 for a new normal (non-IBM) fan, and charge about $154 for the installation. So I was prepared to pay abt $222 for the new fan and installation servicee. In the end, they only cleaned and lubricated my fan as well as adding a silverpaste inside, thus charging me only the installation fee. what the hell... that is considered installation huh. but guess no choice...
Ok, pretty busy this week and next as a presentation is coming up soon... and alot of stuff to do before the next trip.... which is so soon! Italy and london! From next friday to next next Monday... which is a 10-day trip starting from 13th Oct. Jeez, how cramped can i be...
Wonderful bicycle collision again today. Superb head on. Why? Becos one gal and a guy were blocking the way with their bikes by standing there and talking on the phone. I couldnt stop in time cos it is a down slope and I am making a steep turn down to cross the road. Couldnt make a 135 degrees turn in time to avoid the guy. So bascially another crash la. My poor bike has to suffer so much becos of me.
Ok, think will post photos this weekend, so pls bear with it til then~!
haha.. my comment just got eaten up. Nvm.. I shall post again~ =P
U r so prone to accidents~!! or is it cos of the physical environment? too much slopes or turns is it? Aniwaez, be careful ar~~
I think IBM laptops are prone to hving fan errors. My friend just got hers changed too, just before the warranty expires.
Looks likw u've learnt quite a lot from all the trips. =) Will be waiting to see the pics~~
jovie~~~ I think i still have lots more to learn.... :(
I am sick of my ignorance...
Erm I think my cycling experience still not enuff la, so my adaptation to situations during cycling is not agile. T_T
