Um Day2-12th May
We had to set off at 9 am together for some morning lecture… but for my room, the 4 of us gals all overslept. Only when they knocked on our doors, we woke up in horror. Frantically, we brushed and washed up and quickly came out of our rooms to the empty area (common room plus lift lobby). Haha so embarrassing lor… 2 alarms from hp is not able to wake up us. I juz had those small loft of bread with cream in the middle as my breakfast. I think some of us dun have breakfast lor. After lecture and lunch at Chicken Rice Ball restaurant, we split up in our assignment grps and started our work – our analysis and documentation of shophouses. Each grps has to do a long stretch of shophouses, front and back… crazy lol… so these days we kept walking and walking…. Wat a good way to keep our weights down as we are eating a lot too…. :) Through this grpwork, I get to tok and know more abt the UM students in my grp. They are so cheerful and energetic lot. Oh man, I feel so old and hagged…. Y I get so tired easily? Maybe lack of exercises ba.
Darn, so tired… after we reached the hotel at ard 5pm, we had a meeting session with our teachers and prof to ask any questions we haf and to report what we haf done today… I kept dozing off… see… I am that tired… I almost wanted to skipped my dinner and sleep all the way til next morn. However, when some of us mentioned that they are going to some Peranakan restaurant called BullDog Café… (cute name)… hmm so I changed my mind lor~ haha, I am so easily tempted. Ok, but I didn’t eat much. Just some nonya poh pia and ice-kacang. Heehee~ Chatted for quite some time, and laughing too!! Haha so relaxed and fun.. Actually we were damned stressed by the work we need to do… and we dun haf much time left to do what we are assignment to do. The first part of the submission is 17th May lor… cham…
After we got back to hotel, some of us bathed while some still haf meetings… Oh ya, my budget hotel has no laundry services nor drying etc… so I haf to wash my clothes by hand… Today is the 2nd day, so time to wash them!! Wah… so sian…. After that, my hands were so dry lor… wah…. Imagine how our mums survived…. I feel so useless or spoilt. Anyway, I found that each day I have new ‘injuries’. Yesterday I got big bruise at my right knee. Today I had one small one at left feet and a cut at right shoulder…so bathing that time was irritating.
Let me tell u the
INTERESTING incidents for today. But they dun happen on me of cos, but on one of my fren, Rudy. Haha, poor guy. Today he had ice-kacang at this café 1511. Den he asked for a drink as the ice-kacang was too sweet. He drank and drank and left abit den he realised that there was lizard shit inside… haha, wonder how sick his face will look like. Later during that dinner, he mentioned that he used the thin towel that the hotel provided. For a moment, we all stared and him and then asked him that he actually dared to use it. He was shocked too and asked why. Den we told him true stories of ppl using it as carpets, or rugs to wipe etc, and one UM guy told him that normally they use as a multi-purpose cloth thing…. So rudy was horrified again and exclaimed, “oh man! Please dun do this to me!” haha, so eventful for him today! Aiyo… poor guy….
Ok, juz realised me and bren were blogging on our bed now, and we were wearing same colour of tops and shorts, and having laptops on our laps, and doing same thing! So elita, one of our fren sharing same room as us said that we looked like twins!! Ahaha, so she took a photo of us! So funny~~ lol. Ok la, time for me to sleep else I’ll sleep in front of teachers again… or better still, overslept like this morning. No way man, ok la, gd nitez!
Looks like you are enjoying yourself. =) Btw, 1 bad news. We have some website thingy to do when you come back. Till then take care.
