Stockholm, Sweden
Haha, I better clear stockholm photos first~~
Hmm soon after Malmo, we (me, lw, cw and yh) went to stockholm (26-27 Aug) as it is the main capital of sweden. Heard nice stories about it having good scenery etc but I think... maybe those bird-eye views of the city captured and placed on internet are misleading or the people who went there managed to see something nice that we missed out. But yes of cos, some sceneries are nice with very very peaceful surroundings....
Welcome to Stockholm! The first train station left an impression on me with its rugged cave-like texture, painted with some blue patterns... so as to heighten this undergrd tunnel feeling...

This is how the streetscape looks like... aiya, no difference rite? I took this photo while we were in the bus... hmm great, no reflection of myself on the glass. well done... The day was beautiful with puffy clouds - a great day to take gd photos~

We visited some museums and one of it was VASA Museum, where it holds this huge ship that was sunk during its first official launch in Sweden... It is like another Titanic story.... The king wanted the job to be done fast and beautiful... yesh, with those heavy ornaments and decorations..... We watched a video showing how the ship was rediscovered and dug up from the deep sea.... and all the efforts to clean and assemble this ship as well as to the extent in using some laser points throughout to maintain the moisture, humidity and temperature so that it can adapt to the environmental conditions in the museum. Too cheem. Sorry abt the blur photos.... my cam is not working properly in the dark environment....

We actually walked around the Old Town area but nothing interesting... And then finally we went to the New Town area with bustling activities and more people moving around. We came to this place with a huge sculptural piece. The building behind is some Cultural Centre or something cos I saw this swedish word that seems to mean cultural building... Anyway we walked around til night and captured this plazza and building in night scene. rather beautiful.

We went up to a tower or bridge to see Stockholm's skyline during the sunset. We stood there and see the sun goes down.... how exciting. But we were glad to capture the hot air balloons in our photos.... And for me, I captured a bird flying by~ juz when I hoped it will happen.

We went to a couple of palaces: The Royal Place and Drottingholm Place where the latter is somesort of a summer house for the royal members to stay once a while.

The Drottingholm Palace and the Library inside... (we were not supposed to bring cameras in... illegal photo eh...)

Finally the last building we saw is the Stockholm Library done by Asplund, a Swedish architect... someone told me to take a look at it.... and claimed it is beautiful, however the exterior proved otherwise. Maybe it is the interior that is nice but we have no chance or mood to go in anyway. :p

All right, that's Stockholm! Look forward to Copenhagen ones coming up!
